Fiat Automobiles S.p.A., an acronym for Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino (English: Italian Automobile Factory of Turin) is an Italian automaker which produces Fiat branded cars, and is part of Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A. This is a division of Fiat Group, the largest automobile manufacturer in Italy. The company, Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A., was formed in January 2007 when Fiat reorganized its automobile business. As of 2009, Fiat is the world's sixth largest carmaker as well as Italy's largest carmaker.
