Italdesign-Giugiaro S.p.A (commonly called Italdesign) is an automobile design and engineering company in Turin, Italy. Giorgetto Giugiaro founded the design group with Aldo Mantovani in 1968, as Studi Italiani Realizzazione Prototipi S.p.A, working closely with Volkswagen. Today, the company is known for the work of its subsidiary, Giugiaro Design, the domain of famed automobile designer, Giorgetto Giugiaro. Italdesign also offers automotive engineering, prototyping, and testing services. The company is headquartered in Moncalieri, 15km south of Turin and has 975 employees with 800 computer CAD workstations.
